Design Brief
The clients wanted a Contemporary style of garden to suit their new house; An entertaining area integrating both a pool and a water feature. The pool fencing needed to be as discreet as possible from the house but still provide a modicum of privacy from the street behind.
Having good geometry was very important and I used an unusual angle to amalgamate the exit from the living room to the alfresco area. This angle allowed for entry to the alfresco area and obviated the need to have steps down into the pool immediately outside the door. The garden was then designed parallel to and perpendicular to this first angle. The clients particularly liked the fact that my gardens are well structured and emphasis is placed on using angles to create useable space and interest.
